Paddock Lodge is in County Durham, less than 15 minutes from j.58 of the A1.
Directions will be sent upon confirmation of your booking. You will have your own automatic gate fob for the main driveway gates, so you can come and go as you please.
Arrival time is after 4pm on the first day of your stay. (2pm arrival may be possible if there are no guests checking out on your arrival day, please enquire for details.)
Paddock Lodge is set within The Paddocks, over an acre of land which also contains our own accommodation (pictured left). Handy if you require anything, unobtrusive if you don't.
Being confirmed foodies we will happily advise on the local restaurants and takeaways. We are very fortunate that there are many types of cuisine in the area – Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian, traditional British etc plus all the usual fast food outlets. Most are within 15 minutes drive of us. There is also a large Marks and Spencers Simply Food outlet next to Tesco, 10 minutes away.
The nearest pub – the Saxon Inn – is literally a 5 minute walk and it does great food (including hand cut chips).
They also do takeaways for any item on the menu.

Situated on the edge of a village, we have a rural feel yet Tesco Extra, Sainsburys, Asda and Morrison are all just 10 minutes from here. They all sell supermarket fuel, which is always very competitively priced. There is also a Jet petrol station/garage/costcutter a short drive away.
